With its new SolConeX series, the R. STAHL company presents the world's most modern series of explosion-protected plugs and sockets and, thus, an innovative successor to
the successful CES series up to 16 A and 32 A rated current.
Together with the time-proven CES series, SolConeX offers a complete range from 16 A to 125 A, approved for use in Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 21 and Zone 22. Of course, all R. STAHL plugs and sockets are 100 % compatible, i.e. the previous plugs fit in the new sockets and the new plugs fit in the previous sockets.
This major advantage is particularly important when retrofitting and procuring spare parts. Gradual and, thus, low-cost conversion from old to new is a convenient and easy process.
The most important safety feature of the R. STAHL plugs and sockets is the reliable switch-disconnector with a large, convenient switching lever. The switch position indicator can be seen clearly and from far off. Plugging and unplugging can be performed in position 0 easily and safely as on conventional industrial plugs and sockets, with no complex twisting, with no stress or strain leading to material fatigue and with low wear.
The attractive devices with their high type of protection of IP 66 and the broad ambient temperature range are designed optimally for rough industrial use. The plug in particular offers a high safety reserve since it guarantees type of protection IP 66 even when not plugged in and in any application position.
SolConeX is the first series of plugs and sockets with up to two optional, retrofittable auxiliary contacts.
They are available in standard versions as well as versions for intrinsically safe circuits. The auxiliary contacts can be snapped on to the flange with surprising ease, even after installation of the socket. This means that the auxiliary contacts (which are pre-mating when disconnecting) can be used as load-shedding contacts or can be used to integrate the plugs and sockets easily in automation systems.
SolConeX is suitable for all internationally conventional wiring systems and the coding for voltage, frequency and number of contacts corresponds to IEC 60309. This means that the plugs and sockets can be used worldwide.
SolConeX from R. STAHL, the innovative plug and socket for hazardous areas, offer uncompromising safety for flexible power distribution worldwide.
