Triple Quad System

Chromtec has introduced its Evolution GC-MS/MS triple quad system for Agilent 5973/5975 mass spec detectors. The instrument is particularly useful for applications involving high backgrounds or matrix effects, which are common to food, flavour and fragrance chemistry, forensic science, pharmaceutical quality assurance and environmental analysis. The companys second MS is able to eliminate any background and focus on a single ion, thereby ensuring that chemists can identify their target compound or group of compounds. Specific applications include flavour and fragrance R&D; identification of drugs of abuse; doping analysis; clinical studies of body fluids; forensic testing of fire debris; locating of impurities in pharmaceutical products; and the detection of pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, PAH and PCB in food, soil and water.
