Near-Infrared in Vivo Imaging System

Li-Cor Biosciences announced the launch of its new in vivo imager: The Pearl Imager is a laser-based system with proprietary CCD camera detection in the near-infrared (NIR) spectral region, resulting in minimal autofluorescence and excellent sensitivity. White light, 700 nm, and 800 nm images are acquired in less than 30 sec. The instrument provides six logs of dynamic range for avoiding repetitive imaging. Temperature-controlled imaging bed and motorised imaging drawer enable comfortable animal handling. One button operation and immediate, fully automated image acquisition makes the instrument an­ easy-to-use imaging system with excellent data output.
