New explosion protected position switches and safety position switches made of metal in accordance with EN 50041

The position switches and safety switches of Series 8074 are suitable for use in hazardous explosive gas atmospheres in Zones 1 and 2 and in hazardous explosive dust atmospheres in Zones 21 and 22. The EC type examination certification BVS 05 ATEX E 007 means that they are approved pursuant to the European ATEX Directive 94/9 EC. The explosion protection marking for the explosive gas atmosphere area is EX II 2 G EEx de IIC T6 and that for the dust explosion hazard area is EX II 2 D IP65 T80°C, documenting suitability for the most stringent ambient conditions.

Series 8074 from R. STAHL Schaltgeräte GmbH is available with a slow-action contact element in versions NC/NO or NC/NC. The NC versions are designed with positive opening.
A wide variety of actuating elements are available (e.g. roller plunger, roll-lever and rod actuator). The form of actuator complies with EN 50041 and is used, for instance, to implement solutions in relation to positioning and safety tasks in lift and elevator construction, in materials handling and in machine safety.
