Inclusion Analysis

Oxford Instruments has launched a dedicated package developed specifically for the analysis and classification of steel inclusions, using Energy Dispersive X-ray microanalysis (EDS) in the scanning electron microscope (SEM) – IncaSteel. This package is applicable to either clean steel analysis or tire cord analysis. Methods have been developed using optical microscopes to classify steels by counting and measuring the inclusions present.
