The Dionex Autotrace 280 PFAS Solid-Phase Extraction (SPE) Instrument fully automates sample preparation for the analysis of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in drinking water by EPA method 537.1. The new system extracts analytes from large volume aqueous samples easily and efficiently, automating all four steps of SPE and facilitating the simultaneous processing of up to six samples in 2-3 hours with only 15 minutes of operator involvement.
While the instrument was designed specifically for EPA method 537.1, it can also be used to run other SPE methods. By eliminating manual steps through automation, the instrument supports laboratory cost savings and reduces the risk of errors and re-runs, ultimately improving efficiency and enhancing reproducibility. Environmental, municipal water and public health laboratories can ensure consumer safety with reliable PFAS detection that they can be confident in, while increasing their throughput.
