Explosion Supression / start affecting flame propagation already in the start phase of an explosion

Explosion suppression installations are designed to prevent generation of high pressures due to fuel-air explosions in enclosures. They start affecting flame propagation already in the start phase of an explosion. The maximum explosion pressure is reduced and lies, depending on several factors including the product and the volume of the system, under 0.5 bar. Some advantages of Kidde Brand- und Explosionsschutz GmbH explosion suppression systems are that they also can be applied for toxic fuels and that they an be installed on most industrial installations (no limitations regarding external effects as is the case when applying explosion venting).
