IS pac Ex i isolators approved for installation on ships

R. STAHL Schaltgeräte GmbH's IS pac isolator system has been approved by DNV (Det Norske Veritas). The isolators comply with the DNV Standards for installation on ships and offshore platforms. This means that the IS pac isolating repeaters, switching repeaters and binary outputs and the pac-Carrier system solution can be used for automation tasks on tankers, drilling rigs and many other types of watercraft. This approval was made possible not least by the rugged, industry-tested design of the series of isolators and the related components. Even the rough conditions in applications on the high seas, such as strong vibrations, are unable to harm the devices. This fact emphasises that R. STAHL Schaltgeräte GmbH's concept of the IS pac isolator system, a system which is unique worldwide, is an ideal solution for all conceivable applications in process automation.

Now that the IS pac isolator system has been approved, the customer can choose from two automation solutions for this specific application. The R. STAHL Schaltgeräte GmbH Remote I/O System I.S. 1 was approved by DNV over a year ago. International shipbuilding customers can now utilise a complete portfolio of first-class products and services from R. STAHL for performing automation tasks.
