Industrial charge amplifiers convert the output signal of a piezoelectric sensor into a voltage that can be evaluated. It has been used to be necessary to choose a model with a suitable measuring range. The new ICAM Type 5073A
charge amplifier for manufacturing automation applications eliminates this limitation. It offers a wide programmable measuring range from 100 ... 1 000 000 pC and matching computer interface.
The ICAM Type 5073A... handles with virtually any measuring task and is preset with the sensitivity of the sensor and the maximum measuring range in mechanical units. Its accurate adjustability (0,25 % FSO) substantially increases the maximum resolution.
Each of up to four measuring channels supplies an output voltage of 10 V with a minimum error of just 0,5 % and excellent reproducibility of 0,1 %.
The output signals and peak memory can be used for industrial process measurement. With a programmable fifth order filter at frequencies of 10, 200 or 3 000 Hz, or a programmable offset, the ICAM offers many other options. A digital input can be used to switch between the two measuring ranges of each channel, even during measurement. The ICAM can also communicate with the machine's PLC via its RS-232C interface.
The impressively capable ICAM remains very user friendly. Simple, self-explanatory software based on LabView software is used for setting parameters from a single screen, which provides a clear overview of all of the important functions.
