New Telecentric Video microscopes with long working distance for 1” CCD cameras

Sill Optics adds fife new microscopic video lenses to its range of telecentric lenses. These lenses are designed with a much larger numerical aperture (up to 0,25 in object space) to increase the resolution of small structures.

The magnifications can be chosen from
3x (S5LPJ2533),
5x (S5LPJ2555),
6x (S5lpj2566),
7x (S5lPJ2577) to 8x (S5lPJ2588) and can cover camera sizes up to 12x12 mm max.

Usual video microscope lenses suffer from lack of resolution at higher magnification due to insufficient numerical aperture. This is especially bad at higher magnifications > 3x, as the diffraction limit will destroy the sharpness of the edges. Above new lenses are designed to match the max possible resolution of the camera. Therefore the 8x lens needs a Na of 0,25 with a max resolution of nearly 400 lp/ mm in object space. Structures with 3 um will now be visible.
In addition these lenses show very little distortion in the range of 0,05%. The working distance for all models is in the range of 90 ..100 mm. Even the total track is very similar from one to the other, so that they can be exchanged without redesigning your microscope set up.

Of course all types are object space telecentric for best edge detection. Best results are available with small band LED illumination from green to red. All lenses are available with C-Mount and a variable iris.
