Detecting Smallest Raman Shifts

Techspec Raman Edge Filters from Edmund Optics provide single filter solutions to reduce spectral noise in Stokes shift applications. They utilize a hard coated design for excellent transmission characteristics compared to traditional coated filters.

The filters are designed to create sharp transitions between transmitted Raman signals and blocked laser wavelengths. Transition widths of less than 1% are guaranteed. The filters deliver high transmission, typically greater than 93%, which allows weak signals to be detected. Designed to detect even the smallest Raman shifts, they are ideal for integration into Raman spectroscopy or confocal microscopy systems. They are available in 355 nm and 785 nm wavelengths, with diameters of 12.5, 25 and 50 mm.
