State of the Art positioner ARCAPRO

The intelligent positioner ARCAPRO Typ 827A from the German manufacturer ARCA Regler GmbH, the mother company of the international ARCA Flow Group, can now also be mounted to stroke positioners in accordance with VDI/VDE 3847. The standardised mechanic and pneumatic interface between positioner and actuator allows a pipeless mounting that is interchangeable among different manufacturers. The newly designed and powerful mounting has an extremely compact construction of high mechanical strength. Because the mounting is done only by two bolts the changing of the positioner is easily done within short notice.

A new version of the ARCAPRO® with communication via Foundation Fieldbus has now completed the row of different bus technologies (besides HART and Profibus). The operation, configuration and enhanced diagnosis is easy to handle via pushbuttons and display and independent from the communication on site. In that way the initial operation can occur independently from PLS. The positioners are according to ATEX, FM and CSA explosion-proof and intrinsically safe.
One of the main tasks of the positioner ARCAPRO 827A is to verify whether pre-adjusted set points have been exceeded. Deviations are shown in the display by corresponding error codes. For remote monitoring an alarm programming via the failure outlet is available. The listing of all wear related information allows the procurement of replacement parts in time as well as the planning of necessary service intervals. The supervision system in total is supposed to reduce the common maintenance costs up to 70 percent.
For applications in off-shore and under sterile conditions intelligent positioners are available also in stainless steel. The material guarantees highest resistance against acids, bases and salts as it is required for the implementation for example on drilling platforms or in dairies.
