Networked digital video solutions specialist, VCS AG has added a new 8-channel video sender/receiver, the VideoJet 8000, to its range of innovative professional products. Perfect for situations where multiple cameras are wired to the same location, the VideoJet 8000 sends video from 8 cameras over an IP network and occupies only a single
1HU-high 19" rack slot.
It is ideal for high-density professional IP video projects and as a drop-in replacement for analogue multiplexers where it brings the benefits of IP CCTV to existing installations. "The VideoJet 8000 is a break-through in channel density," commented Tim Williams, Sales Manager at VCS. "Some competitors think they are doing well with 28 channels in 9U, whereas the VideoJet 8000 has more than double that density."
The single 1HU-high rack mount or desktop unit provides 8 non-multiplexed DVD-quality video channels, so all cameras can be viewed and recorded simultaneously at DVD quality. With optional dual-streaming capability, cameras can be viewed and recorded at different rates. Optional built-in hard-disks support efficient pre-alarm recording and VCS ANR fault-tolerant network video recording. What's more, the VideoJet 8000 with hard-disks can replace jerky multiplexed DVRs, providing smooth, high-quality DVD video for all 8 cameras simultaneously.
