Multi-heads volumetric feeder

The unique Fine dosing multi-heads feeder, is probably the best solution on the market, to give a simultaneous, quick and accurate dispensing of ingredient on multiple application points, with sprinkling effect. These machines are used on high cadency lines in food industry, to add small quantities of ingredients: for example small lumps of nuts in dessert jars.
These feeders are controlled with motor speed and outlet section of extractor. In addition a mechatronics solution, called “Short-cut system”, allows a perfect control of the extractor movement with repeatability below 3/100 sec, to ensure a quick and accurate feeding.

This range of machines is an efficient cost effective solution for high cadency production lines (dosing time from 0.2 sec, up to 60 dosing cycles / min). For example it is possible to dose 3 g of small lumps of almond, simultaneously on 7 heads, at a cadency 50 cycles per minute, with an accuracy of +/- 0.25 g., on a machine width of 750 mm.

The design of course is made in agreement with food industry requests. The multi-heads feeders can be fit on a “C” shape mobile trolley, to facilitate cleaning operations.

Topping on dessert pots (Ø 70 mm)

The operator is a nameable producer of food stuffs with highest quality demands. For the production of new dessert-creations a new machine has been required, which fulfills the following mainspecifications:

• Topping of dessert pots with constant sprinkling effect
• Powdering of ingredient on a round surface, with no dust on the pot
• Three qualities of ingredients with different flowabilities: Cocoa, grinded nuts and grated coco
• fast production sequence with high accuracy: 10 simultaneous doses per cycle
• high dosing rate: 20 000 dessert pots per hour
• 2 g of ingredient per dessert
• Accuracy requested: +/- 10%
• Dosing time below 1 sec

Solution:
It has been developed a multi-heads feeder which has been integrated in the existing production line. It has a width of 750 mm and 10 simultaneously working outputs. Thanks to the already explained “Short-cut system”, highest accuracy is reached. A new generator is able to create enough energy to extract difficult powder as cocoa. The dosing time is kept below 1 second.
With the same configuration of the feeder, it is possible to switch to the different ingredients. Special tools have been designed to get a good topping effect. The system, designed according GMP rules, is integrated on a “C” shape movable trolley, to facilitate cleaning operation.

The feeder is used on different production lines, as the level of dosing heads is adjustable (+/- 100 mm).Thanks to in house pre-commissioning, the feeder was on stream in within one day.
