Automated cell counters for a variety of applications

ChemoMetec A/S designs and manufactures automated cell counters for a variety of applications:

  • NucleoCounter® for mammalian cells
  • NucleoCounter® YC-100™ for yeast cells
  • NucleoCounter® SCC-100™ for somatic cells in milk
  • NucleoCounter® SP-100™ for animal sperm cells.
The technology applied in this instrument is based on the use of propidium iodide to intercalate with the DNA contained in the nuclei of the cells. Determine dead and live cells using this technique overcome the need for calibration for individual cell lines.

The NucleoCassette contains all tubing, PI, mixing, precision optics, pump, calibration of volume and safety enclosure, hence service, cleaning and maintenance is practically non existing.

With over 4 years in the market and over 500 units sold around the world, this technology has now been proven to be the next generation of cell counters.
