R. STAHL presents the new pendant light fitting series 6470/6480:
With the pendant light fitting series 6470/6480, R. STAHL Schaltgeräte GmbH presents a new pendant light in their product portfolio, which can be deployed in both Zone 2 hazardous areas as well as in Zone 21 and Zone 22 dust-endangered areas. These lamps ideally supplement and compliment the present 6050 pendant light fittings series that are suited for applications in Zone 1 and 21.
The new 6470/6480 pendant light fittings meet the requirements of both the IEC and NEC and can be deployed problem-free around the world. This means that this light fittings series is suited for applications in hazardous areas of Zone 2, Zone 21 and 22 (EN 60079-15, EN 50281-1-1) as well as in CL.I, II and III for Division 2 and Zone 2 (UL 844, UL 1598, UL 1598A). Moreover, the usage possibilities for these light fittings are extremely wide-ranging. One example of flexibility can be seen in the spectrum of six different mounting options available with our well glass light fittings. The generously-sized terminal chamber makes installation of these pendant light fittings uncomplicated and efficient. Easy and efficient maintenance can be taken for granted with features such as a wire guard that holds the safety glass cover during lamp replacement. Intelligent design eliminates the risk of losing either the lamp or the safety glass cover when changing lamps.
The lamp wattages of R. STAHL pendant light fittings run the gamut of 50W to 500W. The choice of light source range from traditional discharge lamps, tungsten and glow lamps to induction lamps. The latter with their long service life of up to 60,000 hours are specifically suited to applications in which maintenance tasks are time and labour intensive.
Furthermore, the new 6470/6480 pendant light fitting series are characterized by their high protection type (IP66) and their extended temperature range of –20 °C to 55°C. An external wire guard can be obtained if the equipment is to be used under rough ambient conditions in which additional mechanical protection needs to be assured. This accessory can also be fitted at a later date. This is also true of the external reflector that simultaneously enhances efficient illumination and guarantees safety in the plant.
