Sony network video monitoring – Security with a system

Sony Deutschland GmbH's Professional Solutions Europe will be presenting new, state of the art network video monitoring solutions at this year's CeBIT in Hall 13, Stand C25. They will be showing the latest SNC-RZ25P and SNC-RZ30P network cameras working with the Sony RealShot™ Manager video management software. The models produce high quality pictures that can be called up and controlled remotely via an existing company IP network. With these latest models the integral web server can send pictures by e-mail or can be accessed by several users at the same time.

SNC-RZ25P – the MPEG-4 pan/tilt/zoom network video camera

This powerful, compact MPEG4 camera with its pan/tilt/zoom feature incorporates Exwave-HAD™ technology to transmit high quality pictures and video sequences. The pan/tilt function and an 18x optical zoom ensure that it can be used in many different ways in different environments. The pictures can be saved on a compact flash card or a MemoryStickTM (with an adapter). In addition, the optional wireless module feature means that camera signals can be transmitted over a WLAN radio network.

SNC-RZ30P – PTZ network video camera

The SNC-RZ30P is a state of the art network camera for the most demanding security, monitoring and remote monitoring applications. It offers sophisticated network functions together with PTZ remote control. The powerful autofocus lens with its optical zoom (25x) and digital zoom (300x) produces extraordinarily sharp pictures whether the subject is close or far away. Here the PTZ feature can be controlled by any web browser. The 1/6" IT super HAD CCD sensor with DSP produces excellent picture quality even when there is very low light (2.5 lux). Therefore the SNC-RZ30P is particularly suitable for taking pictures in almost dark conditions. High quality, full motion colour video at up to 25 fps at VGA resolution (640 x 480) aids clear, unambiguous interpretation of any monitored scene.

RealShot™ Manager: Optimising video networking efficiency

RealShot™ Manager makes the PC the hub for monitoring networks. With this software it is possible to control up to 32 cameras per server where the number of servers in a system is not restricted. The range of functions and features can cope with almost any application situation. The IP cameras, which can be grouped together, can be activated manually via the network or by means of pre-set parameters. In addition alarm and pre-alarm recording is possible while recording is taking place and being viewed in all three recording modes. The versatile search function allows you to view a great amount of picture material easily. It sorts the recordings by date, alarm/ event or an attached brief comment. Additional software features are definable access rights, log reports in the event of technical problems and the action editor which can set specific functions to be carried out when the alarm is triggered.

The RealShot™ Manager's clear user interface makes it particularly easy to use even with complex monitoring networks. With the "Layout Editor", for example, building floor plans can be integrated into the picture so that users can get an overview of what is happening in previously defined action areas just by clicking the mouse. Sony offers the software in various standard versions. In addition, customised RealShot™ solutions for larger, more complex, monitoring environments are also available. In all versions the software can also be used in a client-server environment.
