BlackLine Lf-EC

The new conductivity sensors from JUMO GmbH & Co. KG, Fulda, Germany, are distinguished by a compact design. They can be supplied in versions with a fitting length of only 38.5 mm and G1/2" or 1/2"NPT screw-in threads.
A Pt100 temperature sensor is integrated as standard. The electrical connection is made through a permanently attached cable, 5 meters long. The enclosure has IP67 protection. Cell constants are: K = 0.1 for ranges up to 1000 µS/cm and K = 1.0 for a range up to 5000 µS/cm. The sensors can be used at temperatures up to 100°C and pressures up to 6 bar.
The housing is formed from black polyetherimide plastic, which is highly resistant to chemical influences.

The conductivity measuring cells are implemented as 2-electrode electrolytic types. Stainless steel 1.4571 (for K = 0.1) and titanium (for K = 1.0) are used as the electrode materials. All the materials that are employed are physiologically harmless, and can therefore also be applied in media such as drinking water.
A second threaded section on the side opposite the process side is provided for mounting an immersion tube. So the screw-in sensor can be quickly converted into an immersion sensor, for fitting in open containers. JUMO offers suitable immersion tubes with lengths of 500, 1000 and 1500 mm.
And, particularly in conjunction with the JUMO ecoTRANS Lf 01, 02 and 03 series of transmitters, this provides a complete system for electrolytic conductivity measurement with a convincing price and performance.
The measuring ranges that can be covered allow the JUMO BlackLine Lf-EC to be used in such typical applications as ion-exchange and reverse osmosis installations, monitoring of drinking water, desalination plant, surface water systems and horticulture, and process or flushing baths which are not strongly contaminated.
