New Airfield Lighting for the A380 at Toulouse-Blagnac Airport

With the new INL-REO, developed from the requirements of the STNA (Technical Service of the French Civil Aviation) and of the DDE (Direction of the Departmental Equipment), THORN AIRFIELD LIGHTING has provided the solution.

This runway edge inset light includes both high intensity bi-directional beams and low intensity omni-directional beam, and reproduces the photometric performances of the traditional elevated runway edge lights.

Issue from the existing range of inset light from THORN, the INL-REO is equipped with the same optical assembly and shares the same spare-parts. Using 105 W lamp for each high intensity beam and either 45 W or 105 W for the omni-directional beam, the INL-REO can be equipped with dichroic filters to provide the necessary colour coding. Both functions can be connected on either dedicated circuits (High Intensity + Low Intensity) or on the same circuit depending on the application requirements.
