Seamless from Micro into Nano Scale
The JPK Instruments NanoWizard® AFM is optimised for soft matter and life science applications. As an add-on for inverted optical microscopes it offers the possibility to simultaneously study samples with the AFM and the light microscope. During AFM measurement all the light microscope's operation modes remain constantly available. Even high-resolution fluorescence confocal microscopy and single-molecule fluorescence techniques are possible, since the special objective lenses required can be used.
Imaging, Pulling, Manipulating
Fields of application are imaging of samples such as polymers, biomolecules and living cells in their native environment or air with molecular resolution, study of molecular interactions, e.g. binding forces, or mechanical properties, e.g. elasticity, or nanomanipulation (cutting, moving, nanolithography).The following accessories are available for the NanoWizard® AFM:
– High-Temperature Heating System: room temperature to 240ËC, for polymers
– Heating-Cooling System: from 0°C to 100°C, for biopolymers
– SmallCell™: Fluid cell for small volumes
– BioCell™: Temperature-controlled fluid cell for biomaterials
