Silicone/PTFE Pharma-Fix-Septum

Butyl/PTFE Pharma-Fix-Septa are nowadays very successfully used in the field of Headspace analysis. The main reason for this is a tighter sealing in comparison to completely PTFE laminated liners. La-Pha-Pack have developped a 20 mm Silicone/PTFE Septum in design of a Pharma-Fix-Septum that has a higher temperature resistance in comparison to the Butyl/PTFE Septum. The most decisive factor in the selection between a Silicone/PTFE and Butyl/PTFE Pharma-Fix-Septum is the considerably higher purity of Silicone. La-Pha-Pack also set up in this field new standards with their UltraClean quality of Silicone/PTFE Septas for GC and Headspace analysis, to which the new Silicone/PTFE Pharma-Fix-Septas belong as well. UltraClean means that these liners have been manufactured out of a high quality Silicone material and that each batch has been analysed by GC.
