Compact rotary actuator

Oriental Motor has released a new compact rotary actuator (DG-Series) for high-precision positioning. Features are the small size compared to usual belt and pulley solutions and the high positioning accuracy: the repetitive positioning accuracy is ±0.004°, the lost motion 0.033°. Maximum speed reaches 200r/min. The DG-Series offers the possibility of direct drive, furthermore the diameter of the hollow shaft is much larger compared to usual direct drive motors. This makes the routing of wires etc. through the hollow shaft very easy. Thanks to the usage of the Alpha Step motor, high response and positioning without hunting are guaranteed. The DG-Series is available in the frame sizes 60mm and 130mm. The small type is for 24V DC input, contains a ball bearing and weighs only 500g. The large type is for 230V AC, has a mass of 2.6kg and contains a cross-roller bearing for high thrust loads up to 2000N. Both types are marked with CE, UL and cUL.
