Illumination Source for Confocal Imaging

The laser, emitting at 561nm, is an alternative to the currently used HeNe 543nm and replaces Kr 568nm – it is brighter, has a longer lifetime and less optical noise. The light green 561nm solid-state laser is a reliable, stable and bright source that exactly fulfills the need for green-yellow excited fluorochromes, routinely used in fluorescence microscopy. The perfect adaptation to this new laser is guaranteed by the Leica TCS SP2 AOBS Confocal Microscope.
