GEZE-SecuLogic Access

GEZE-SecuLogic Access control-system now adds biometric fingerprint recognition to identify persons. Due to clear the uniqueness of individuals, fingerprint recognition becomes more important in the area of the electronic access control-systems. There are key benefits that give these method an advantage over other biometric technology such as face-identification or iris-scanning. For example, there is no impairment to service if a person changes their appearance (hat, glasses) or a change in the environmental conditions (rain, darkness) occurs. Furthermore, the scanning of the fingerprint is rather preffered by the user than the scanning of the retina.

The method for fingerprint recognition is based upon a direct-optical Sensor-Technology (DIOS TM). The ambient light and an integrated infrared light source are used to produce the fingerprint. Because of the light that emerges from the finger, a pattern of the fingerprint originates directly on the surface of the sensor. This pattern can be distinguished with up to 30 criteria, called “Minuzien”, and saved as template.

The advantage of this technology over other systems, such as thermal or capacitive recognition, is in particular the insensitivity to external environmental conditions (surrounding area heat, incidental solar radiation, moisture). Refract-systems (lens-systems) are no longer necessary.

GEZE-SecuLogic Access offers highest protection against vandalism and manipulation. The scanning of the fingerprint and its examination and analysis are done with separate devices. A vital recognition of the finger is carried out at the same time. It is not possible to regenerate the fingerprint from its saved template.

Applications GEZE Fingerprint

This GEZE system can be used as a stand-alone-solution for administrating 100 – 3.000 fingerprints or as a networked-solution that consists of several stand-alone stations. It has a central manager that administrates master data. The access units for the fingerprint data input are available in the flush-mounted programs Jung ST550 and Gira E2. The tough design of the surface-mounted frame assures a undisturbed operating even in adverse weather conditions.
