Highly flexible image processing thanks to app-based approach

Robust, compact, lightweight: IDS NXT vegas marks the kick-off of the new camera family of versatile, autonomously operating industrial cameras from IDS. The devices can handle image processing tasks independently or support PC applications with pre-processed data. Users determine individually which image processing task is to be performed by uploading and selecting vision apps. To meet the requirements of a versatile device, the IDS NXT vegas (protection class IP65) has, for example, an integrated 1.3 MP CMOS sensor, an integrated liquid lens, LED illumination, a ToF sensor (time-of-flight) for distance measurement and an RS232 interface.

IDS also provides users with a development kit to create and install custom apps on their IDS NXT devices. There are therefore almost no limits to the possible application fields of the device. The integrated CPU also contributes to this: Thanks to it, IDS NXT vegas performs vision tasks autonomously or supports PC applications with pre-processed data.
