The Mayser ultrasonic industrial sensor USi: flexibility and versatility

The Mayser Ultrasonic Sensor USi is characterised in particular by its flexibility and versatile use. Up to two freely positionable converters can be installed at a distance from the evaluation unit with minimum installation space. This guarantees high flexibility for installation and for definition of the field to be detected. Due to its very elliptical sound field it reliably monitors narrow gaps and confined spaces.

Unaffected by dirt or extraneous noise, air currents or humidity, the sensor enables both the safe detection of objects and measurement of distances. Therefore the sensor scores top marks in almost all applications in industry and in outdoor areas. It reliably detects moving and stationary objects of any shape, colour or surface. Programmable control outputs and a large number of different interfaces ensure universal use.

Another special feature of the USi is that, unlike comparable products, the teach-in function not only defines the measuring range but enables the complete measuring environment to be taught in. The sensors can be comprehensively parameterised with the evaluation unit or the user-friendly Windows software. The USi is maintenance-free and complies with EN 60947-5-2.
