High-end third-generation embedded systems with two PCI Express slots

DSM Computer's compact N2-QM67 NanoServer embedded-system family is based on the Intel QM67 energy-saving mobile chipset. The modular computers integrate various processors that differ in their computing and graphic power as well as the number of CPU cores.

For high-end applications, the NanoServer N2-QM67 can be optionally equipped with the Intel Core processors of the third generation i7-3610QE with four cores (2.3 GHz, 6 MB) or i5-3610ME with two cores (2.7 GHz, 3 MB). Both processors support the Intel Turbo Boost technology with which the processor is automatically over-clocked for applications that use just one core. Thanks to the implemented Intel AMT 7.0 Active Management technology, the high-performance embedded systems can be booted, managed and serviced remotely. The Intel HD4000 graphical controller with 16 graphical cores located on the processor die ensures a high video and graphics acceleration. The Intel Graphics Turbo Boost technology 2.0 permits the clock frequency of the graphic controller to be increased briefly.

In addition to the standard version with Intel Core i5-2510E processor with 2.5 GHz (two cores), the embedded system is optionally available with the Intel Core processors i7-2710QE (four cores) or i3-2330E or, for low-cost applications, also with the Intel Celeron processor B810. The fast DDR3 RAM main memory can be expanded to a maximum capacity of 8 GB.

The DVI-I, DVI-D and HDMI interfaces allow the connection of a maximum of two independent, high-resolution displays. In addition to two fast USB 3.0 ports, eight USB 2.0 (4 x external, 4 x internal), four serial ports (3 x RS232, 1 x RS232/422/485), Serial ATA for two SATA II 600 and four SATA II 300 devices (RAID 0, 1, 0+1,5) configurable for all connections are available. On request, the two 1000 Base-T LAN interfaces can be augmented with Wireless LAN 802.11.

The robust NanoServer N2-QM67 provides a PCI Express x16 and a PCI Express x1 expansion slot for short cards. As an option, a PCI Express x1 and an internal short Mini PCI Express x1 slot can be provided. The robust industrial housing has space for a 250 GB, 2.5 inch SATA II 300 hard disk that is directly accessible from the screwed-on base cover. Optionally, the HDD can be replaced with a SSD (Solid State Drive) or even a second or third hard disk (HDD/SSD) can be installed.

The embedded system is optionally also supplied with a Compact Flash socket and with a dust-protection filter that can be replaced externally. The compact embedded system obtains its power directly from a 12/24 VDC power input (wide-range) or an external 100 - 240 VAC power pack (120 W). DSM Computer offers a warranty period of two years. CE-conform design and burn-in are standard.
