KOSTAL Industrial Electronics now offers its INVEOR drive controller platform with liquid cooling: The highest performance category of 22 kW can not only be equipped with cooling rips but with a closed, liquid perfused cooling element.
The main advantage of the liquid-cooled INVEOR is the notable reduced thermal workload of the drive controller. Due to a lower heat development, the wear out of critical components such as the semiconductor and the intermediate circuit capacitors is minimized. These features mirror KOSTAL Industrial Electronics’ quality offensive thinking: With the help of a distinctive quality management, possible sources of error can be identified and solutions can be provided. In addition to that, the better heat distribution enables the INVEOR to operate non-stop with an increased billing increment of 16kHz, which also lowers the noise emission.
Through the omission of the cooling rips the INVEOR with liquid cooling fulfils the requirement for an expansion to several fields of application. The drive controller platform can be used within heavily polluted environments as well as within environments with a high ambient temperature, such as in heavy industry. The replacement of the cooling rips by a closed cooling body leads to a decrease in size of the INVEOR.
All sizes of the INVEOR offer a basic model, which is almost identical in terms of design, handling and building structure. The platform was constructed in a way that allows a placement on top of all common engines with the help of a universal adapter plate.
