Profas chemical database for protective gloves goes online
Profas GmbH & Co KG, the uvex safety group’s technology centre for hand protection, will present its Glove Expert System at the industrial health and safety trade fair Arbeitsschutz aktuell in Leipzig from 19 to 21 October 2010. This new, free service is based on a two-tier comprehensive chemicals database. In the publicly accessible section, users can match hazardous materials and protective gloves as well as access permeation lists. The additional expert mode, featuring individual accounts, offers registered users extended and tailored functions.

Glove Expert System is a comprehensive programme to analyse and optimise hand protection solutions at work. Individual hand protection plans that are drawn up together with the customer deliver optimal protection for users and at the same time document a high safety standard at work. “Through its Glove Expert System, Profas is providing a comprehensive service and advisory tool which offers functions that are presently unique in the market,” explains Franz Keller, Managing Director of PROFAS GmbH & Co. KG. Glove Expert System goes online in German and English at the end of October 2010 and can be accessed via the websites www.profas.de and www.profas.com.
