HI 96801 employs the measurement of refractive index to determine the sugar content in % Brix of acqueous solutions, like fruit juice, lemonade, ketchup, jam etc. Measurements are simple and quick: just place a few drops of the sample in the well and press the READ key.
The large display shows simultaneously the temperature compensated sugar content with temperature in °C. The measurement technique eliminates the uncertainty associated with mechanical refractometers and the portable casing easily allows measurements in the field. And the price is also very interesting.
