Fuel prices have reached an all-time high. Modern steam and hot water boiler systems from LOOS could offset or even reduce rising energy costs with their higher levels of efficiency and automation. The system analysis offered by LOOS can reveal saving potentials and offer solutions.
There is often unimagined potential for saving in the refurbishment of a central energy unit. Depending on the situation, various options for making savings are available to the operator. The most important ones are set out below.
Rationalisation investment - The operator invests in suitable measures himself; he instructs planning offices to precisely specify the modernisation potential and employs system engineers to install the boiler house.
However, operators often do not have the capital, or the time and expertise, to introduce measures which make sense economically. This is where leasing or contracting come in as alternatives:
Leasing - An alternative method of financing in which the new system is provided to the lessee for use in return for payment of an agreed leasing charge. No advance financial payments are needed; instead, clearly calculable monthly leasing fees are charged. Liquidity is protected and the savings achieved can be used to cover running costs.
Contracting - With Energy-Saving Contracting, the contractor plans, builds, finances and operates (optional) the plant which can produce energy savings. In return, he receives part of the saved energy costs in order to cover his expenses and his profit until the end of the contract. The contractor assumes the investment risk, and also often the operating risk, and the customer is able to concentrate completely on his core business.
LOOS has already handled a large number of successful orders all over the world using contracting companies.
LOOS would be happy to provide advice and support if you wish to optimise your boiler system. Using special tools such as the boiler house balance programme, LOOS is able to check whether fuel consumption, which accounts for the bulk of operating costs, can be reduced by modifying, replacing or redesigning boiler systems.
