Access announced the LSR120 a compact barcode imager optimised to read new 2D bar coded boarding passes (BCBPs) and internet self-printed check-in documents downloaded from the Internet. It is designed for use at both check-in desks and boarding gates. It reads barcodes in less than one second to speed up passenger throughput and can be configured to connect via a single cable to an Access ATB42X integrated keyboard thereby eliminating the need for an extra port and reducing installation complexity and cables. Alternatively, this barcode imager can connect to a workstation via RS232, PS/2 keyboard or USB interface. It reads IATA recommended PDF417 2D and linear symbologies on presentation of the document, with virtually no latency.
