Isoelectric Focusing

Beckman Coulter introduces advanced isoelectric focusing (IEF) technology, featuring a new peptide-based PI Marker Kit for the charge heterogeneity analysis of biotherapeutics. Based on capillary electrophoresis methods, this solution enables biopharmaceutical researchers and technicians to easily implement quantitative isoelectric focusing in a QC environment. Using this solution is like looking at IEF through a new pair of glasses, said Mark Lies, the companys product manager. Were able to achieve high resolution and quantitative reproducibility from molecules that were previously difficult to analyze. The company has taken a holistic look at capillary isoelectric focusing (cIEF) and optimized system performance for those parameters that are critical for quantitative reproducibility.
