New material modifies storage of hazardous materials

A new material, processed to 42 mm strong finished elements, revolutionises the production of store rooms, cabinets and boxes for hazardous materials.

While the compressing procedure, the homogeneous and non-combustible material is equipped with a tight and chemically high resistant thermosetting plastic.
By means of the further computer-controlled and up to tenth mm precise processing, elements are produced which are connected by concealed quick connects as wall / ground, door or ceiling element to an cabinet for hazardous materials as well as storage for barrels or compressed gas bottles.

The new material and the option of the processing offer considerable advantages:

  • No additional fire load – today’s storage cabinets for hazardous materials e.g. have a flammable interior cabinet of a chipboard
  • No absorption of stored chemicals – the new material is homogeneous, doesn’t absorb nameable chemicals as liquids by means of the tight structure – several hundred litres of leakage chemicals can be absorb at customary and known cabinets with several layers of plasterboards and chipboards.
  • The transport, the temporary storage and the assembly are clearly simplified. No special companies have to be ordered with rising costs for transport and assembly. The single wall segment can simply be displaced.
  • From the single segments originate components, e.g. walls fire resistant F90 according to German and European Building Laws, DIN 4102, REI 90 correspondent to EN 1363. Rooms originating by that for storage of barrel and compressed gas bottles fulfil the building requirements without having to be considered as a special cabinet.

The store cabinets for hazardous materials FWF 90 are tested according to EN 14470 and labelled with the GS sign. They are easy to use and can simply be transported as a complete cabinet by an under-driveable pedestal as well as be adjusted by means of set feet.

The presented new range of the store cabinets includes in each case one- and two-leafed tall cabinets as well as special under-bench cabinets for laboratory flues in the quality of FWF 30 and FWF 90. The cabinets are offered with the usual equipment variations.

Materials and products are produced in Germany. Manufacturing is QS certificated and an appraisal controlled manufacturing site.
