MOIST xLAB - Microwave based moisture measuring instrument for laboratory applications and near-process moisture investigations
On the occasion of POWTECH 2007, hf sensor presented its new developed microwave moisture measuring system MOIST xLAB for quality sustainment especially and for example in the food and beverage industry. It provides moisture figures of solids, bulk goods, powders, pastes and pulps.
The compact and low weight microwave moisture measuring system realises reliable, quick and representative measuring results. It is suitable and can be used for manual sample measurements close to the production line. Customer specific material calibrations allows representative, exact and reproducible measurements. Sample volumes of up to 250ml can be measured with MOIST xLAB. The standard operating temperature range of the lab device may vary between 0 to 70°.
The measurement detects moisture at the surface and in the core of the sample. MOIST xLAB can be delivered as a basic model with neither storage functions nor interfaces or with the USB 2.OB-interface and data memory for 100.000 measured values, including a real time clock and the software unit MOIST LAB MONITOR. A third generation additionally contains enhanced features as documentation, statistics and archiving, programmable measuring sequences as well as a display for charts and trends.
