Live Cell Tracking in Cell-based Assays

BD Biosciences introduces their NEW BD Calcein AM and BD DiIC12(3) Fluorescent Dyes. The non fluorescent, cell permeant Calcein AM is converted in the cell into a fluorescent anion. The lipophilic tracer DiIC12(3) labels neuronal projections as well as lipid bilayers in other cell types. BD Fluorescent Dyes can be used with BD BioCoat Angiogenesis Systems or with other cell-based assays to pre- or post-label viable cells and quantify cell migration, invasion and endothelial cell tubuloge-nesis.
