High-Performance Camera

The first model of the new VC44xx camera series – the VC4466 – is available from now on. Due to their improved specifications, the intelligent cameras are suitable even for highly demanding applications. All VC44xx models incorporate the latest Texas Instruments DSP generation (1 GHz, 8.000 MIPS) and feature an RS232 and an Ethernet interface as well as an external trigger input that enables jitter-free image recording even at high reading frequencies. Their standard equipment also includes a high-speed encoder interface. The VC4466 has a 1/3“ CCD sensor with a 1,024 x 768 pixel resolution and a maximum frame rate of 30 fps (60 fps in binning mode). The basic versions are equipped with 4 MB Flash EPROM and 64 MB SDRAM for programme and picture storage, which can be optionally extended to 128 MB. Just like their predecessor models, the new cameras have a direct video output, four digital PLC inputs and four digital outputs.
