New USB 2.0 Industrial Cameras...

IDS Imaging Development Systems (Obersulm near Heilbronn) has now extended its proven CMOS camera family by a CCD line with USB 2.0 interface. The new industrial cameras of the uEye® series are equipped with SONY Progressive Scan CCD sensors with square pixels. Various monochrome and color models with resolutions ranging from 640 x 480 (VGA) to 1600 x 1200 (UXGA) pixels are now available.

The cameras boast fast frame refresh rates up to 75 frames per second in full-frame mode and over 100 frames per second in the Area-of-Interest and Partial-Scan modes. Like the CMOS models the CCD cameras have a particularly compact and light-weight design. Weighing in at just 75 g, the camera housing is only 34 x 32 x 34.4 mm in size; special housing variants are additionally available for OEM applications. Further features include a C-mount lens connection and a USB 2.0 port, which comes in two versions depending on the specific requirements: as a standard mini-B type or as a screw-on micro D-sub version for demanding industrial applications!

All cameras of the uEye® family—CMOS or CCD—are compatible with current Windows operating systems as well as Linux. Each camera is supplied with a free software package comprising, for example, a software development kit (SDK), a TWAIN driver, an ActiveX component, and a Direct Show driver (WDM). Interfaces for many other standard machine vision programs are also available, such as ActivVision Tools, Common Vision Blox, HALCON or NeuroCheck.
