The new solution for access control in parking areas
Idesco's IR8000 is a new solution for identifying vehicles in parking lots. UHF frequency enables long operating distance (up to 4 metres) with passive tags and it is able to identify moving tags.
Because the transponder is passive, it does not require an internal power source. Until this longer operating distances, which are essential in parking applications have been reached only by active tags. However, passive tags are much easier to use and they have a significantly longer lifetime. Active tags have also significantly higher prices than passive tags.
The IR 8000 reader has RS485 (RS232) serial interface, but it is also available with a Wiegand output as IR 8000 w for easy integration to an existing access control system. IR8000 is very suitable also for applications that require longer operating distances and passive transponders.
