VEGABAR 54 pressure transmitter with small ceramic cell and diverse process connections for the paper industry

More than 20.000 pressure transmitters with the ceramic measuring cell CERTEC are used in the paper industry worldwide. CERTEC is absolutely front flush, as well as abrasion and overload resistant. With a diameter of only 17.5 mm, the small ceramic cell in VEGABAR 54 also offers all these advantages. VEGABAR 54 itself is avail-able with a wide selection of typical small process con-nections for the paper industry.

The new process connection M30x1.5 is universally ap-plicable for level and pressure measurement in vats and pipelines. It combines for the first time the front flush design of a headbox transmitter with pressure screw technology. The associated welded ring has a diameter of only 40 mm, making it the ideal solution for narrow pipelines. A suitable DN 80 threaded flange is also avail-able. The main advantages of the M30x1.5 process connection: absolutely front flush, protected captive seal on the pressure transmitter as well as the option of dis-mounting the instrument without interrupting the electrical connection.

VEGABAR 54 with process connection G 1", suitable for PASVE, is intended for use with the ball valve fittings widely implemented in the paper industry. VEGABAR 54 is now available with process connection PMC 1", 1o" or 1o" for pressure measurement in pipe-lines. Existing pneumatic or 1:1 transmitters with thin process diaphragm can thus be replaced with robust ceramic.

VEGABAR 54 is integrated in VEGA's sensor concept plics. Housing versions in plastic, aluminium or stainless steel belong to the broad selection of options. Even the electronics leave nothing to be desired: the 4 ... 20 mA model is available in two or four-wire technology, the fieldbus model is available in Profibus PA or Foundation Fieldbus version.
