Industrie Technik IPS GmbH of Munich is now able to provide a broader range of functions in its outdoor surveillance solutions thanks to 3D Video Technology, a range of 3D technologies incorporating modern digital signal processors for improved detection, faster identification and easier orientation in large scale properties.
These 3D technologies are integrated into TeleGuard Evox video motion detectors, NETMATRIX hybrid video matrix and IMAS CONTROL and IMAS CENTER alarm management and operating systems, all outdoor surveillance components by IPS. Thanks to cutting-edge image processing, they are now able to offer unprecedented functionalities, such as efficient monitoring of particularly difficult areas at extremely low false alarm rates with the help of multifunctional cameras. Snow, insects and other environmental factors are unable to deceive the system.
As part of IPS's 3D Video Technology approach, 3D video motion detectors connected to stationary broad-angle cameras automatically show the position of a relevant object and its trajectory in the form of a crosshair cursor on the site plan, meaning that the duty officer can see exactly where the alarm-triggering object is and the path it has taken. In a process called 3D Dome Tracking, dome cameras now swing into action to track the object's progress and show it in large format and at the correct focus. In other words, the duty officer can follow the object's every movement, even outside the detection zone.
3D dome control, a further highlight of 3D Video Technology by IPS, makes it possible to display a scene within a split second simply by clicking the mouse on the respective part of the site plan. If the mouse is moved in a certain direction, the camera follows it automatically. Alternatively, the duty officer can click on any part of a stationary camera scene and obtain a close-up if the respective place is within the reach of a dome camera.
