Your digital camera deserves a digital link

NKF Electronics has introduced the Up-the-Fiber™ PTZ- and dome camera converters. These installation-friendly fiber optic converters offer 9-bit digital video quality at analog prices. The Up-the-Fiber™ (UTF) series transports digitally encoded video, high-speed bi-directional data, and an alarm contact over any type of fiber and distance.

The miniature (<50x50x20 mm!) transmitter box fits in any camera housing or connection box. Dedicated versions are available for integration in Pelco Spectra III® and Bosch EnvireDome and AutoDome housings. With the dual receiver cards the receiver side becomes extremely compact. Featuring EasyC-s™, easy connection, configuration and control of the UTF fiber link is guaranteed. The EasyC-s™ Installation benefits are
  • no external data wiring
  • no settings at camera side
  • no distance limitations (vs. Up-the-Coax)
  • remote diagnostics.
All common PTZ and dome camera protocols (RS-422/485, TTY, Manchester, biphase, SensorNet, etc.) are supported by the bi-directional, high-speed data channel. UTF models are standard fitted with a potential-free contact, which can be used as alarm contact for pressure domes, door contacts, anti-temper switches, etc.
