Vector has expanded its measurement and calibration tool CANape Graph to include many new functions in its new Version 5.5. Measurement, calibration and diagnostics of electronic control units (ECUs) can now be performed with even more user-friendliness and versatility.
The improved project management feature gives the user an overview of the project files used by CANape Graph and simplifies the exchange of projects and configurations between different users.
Another new feature is the expansion of supported bus systems to include LIN. Besides ECU-specific data, CAN, K-Line and analog/digital values, now it is also possible to log and display the signals of several LIN buses so that they are all time-correlated.
CANape Graph Version 5.5 supports synchronous real-time stimulation of ECU variables via the XCP protocol. Simulink models might be used to generate these stimuli, for example. These models are linked by the further improved MATLAB/Simulink support. For example, this implementation allows the user to bypass ECU functions.
The definition of trigger conditions for video signal recordings with pretrigger and posttrigger times reduces to a significant degree the volume of stored video data, and it simplifies their offline evaluation. This also works in the newly integrated audio recording feature. The test driver can comment on noteworthy driving situations or record driving noises.
In the management of calibration data the user profits from support of PaCo formats. This improves comparison and management of parameter sets by allowing supplemental information (comments, values history, etc.) to be saved.
Other new features include user-configurable toolbars and hotkeys, and expanded diagnostic functionality with automatic detection of the ECU variant.
