FireWire-Cameras

Phytec Mainz introduces the FireWire-CAM-001 and -002, two low priced industrial cameras that feature a FireWire interface. Color and black & white camera models are available, both of which have a stable metal housing and are suitable for C and CS-mount lenses. Both cameras can be connected directly to a PC equipped with a FireWire interface, without the use of an additional framegrabber card. The steps required to install the cameras are thereby reduced to a minimum.
A single cable is used for transferring images, parameterization and power supply of the camera. A special advantage is the global shutter that exposes the entire image at a single point in time – distortions of moving objects are avoided.
