The compact design of the recessed luminaire THALES EL for the new ring-shaped T-16 fluorescent lamps is by reason of placing the electronic control gear in the centre of the luminaire.
For limitation of luminance, there is an additional concentric ring in the ring louver in glare-reduced louver material BAP. The norm specifications of DIN EN 12464 are thus met. The mean luminance at an emission angle exceeding 65° is <1000 cd/m2 all-round.
A further model of the THALES EL enables the integration of a loudspeaker or smoke alarm in the luminaire. This means a reduction in the number of cut-outs in the ceiling and makes planning easier. In this luminaire, the electronic control gear is located on the back of the luminaire.
The luminaire housing and the middle shade of the THALES EL are white (RAL9016) powder-coated.
