SATO Deutschland GmbH has launched the latest model from its CX series of compact, low-cost label printers. SATO is the world's leading manufacturer of label and bar-code printers, and a specialist in data collection systems (DCS). The SATO CX400 is ideal for low-volume label printing wherever mobility and flexibility are paramount. The lightweight device is of intelligent, compact design, allowing it to be used virtually anywhere: On a cluttered desktop, in a warehouse or distribution centre, or at the point of sale. The CX400 provides a resolution of 203 dpi for exceptional quality whether conventional bar codes, text-only labels, detailed graphics, or very small 2D bar codes. Moreover, a new 32-bit RISC processor enables high-speed printing directly from standard MS Windows applications.
The new SATO CX400, which supersedes and replaces the CX108, 208 and 212 models, is the latest addition to SATOs range of compact mobile desktop label printers. Weighing only 3.7 kg, it is highly portable and suitable for a wide range of applications. Labels can be produced using either the direct thermal or thermal transfer method, with a maximum print speed of 101.6 mm/s. The device is user-friendly, and has an easy-access, high-lift printer head for effortless maintenance and rapid replacement of consumables. The CX400 comes with a parallel Centronics and a serial RS232C interface, plus optional interfaces for USB and LAN.
