TurboCube

Complete modular pumping station in the "magic cube".

TurboCube is the name of the complete pumping station in the compact cube design newly developed by Pfeiffer Vacuum. Its advantage is to adjust quickly and flexibly to almost any high vacuum task. It combines the turbopump and backing pump with all other components in a fully automatic unit that is ready for connection. Housed in a sturdy casing with all connections at the back, the sturdy "magic cube" owes its great adaptability to its uniquely modular design. In fact, over 100 basic combinations of turbo/backing pumps and approximately 1,900 versions are available when using the accessory program. The result is an impressively large application spectrum, including research and development, accelerator technology, analysis, surface physics, vacuum process technology, electron beam welding and helium leak detector systems.
With a pumping capacity from 33 to 500 l/s, the pumping stations guarantee a hydrocarbon-free vacuum.

Simple handling, installation, and operation.

The turbopump and turbo controller have been integrated together in a pumping station for the first time allowing optimum programmability of the vacuum parameters in addition to the flexible adaptation to any application. The use of an additional control unit is entirely superfluous. Cable assembly and expensive installation are also eliminated.

True optimization: The modular principle.

Owing to the modular design and the easy access to the individual components, the equipping or retrofitting process has now become a simple process. For instance, it is possible to remove the turbo pump and connect it directly to a system with a few simple steps. Thus, maintenance and serviceability are optimal, resulting in a system that is easy to install, simple to operate, and highly reliable.

Comfort and variability.

The display unit of the TurboCube is easy to operate both on the floor or on the desk. If a greater distance is required, the display unit (DCU 001) can be removed and used as a remote control. In addition, the TurboCube is available with options such as water cooling and heating cuff. An extensive range of other accessories and various field bus systems emphasizes the concept of maximum flexibility and adaptability.
