Femtosecond Laser

Spectra-Physics introduces Femtotrain 1040-5, a compact, fixed wavelength, femtosecond laser delivering high energies and peak powers.

The laser offers <220 fs pulse widths, >0.5 mJ pulse energies, and >2 MW peak powers, making it a suitable source for medical and bioimaging applications, including optogenetics for photoactivation. The Femtotrain platform provides very high beam quality, low noise and outstanding long-term stability. The laser is equipped with long-life diodes and a very stable sealed optical cavity design for high reliability.
