Stereo Line Scan Camera Enables 3D Inspections With Optimized Illumination

The 3DPixa camera is the combination of stereo imaging with line scan cameras and fast calculation of 3D data from stereo using graphic boards. Based on tri-linear sensors with up to 7300 pixels and 30 kHz line frequency, colour images and 3D data are captured in high resolution and speed. Using passive stereo enables optimal illumination and in addition 3D calculation for every single pixel. Especially surfaces requiring distinct illumination – as metallic objects – can now be captured in 3D using 3DPixa with passive stereo.
