Tunable Picosecond Pulsed Laser

PicoQuant has chosen NKT Photonics A/S (NKT) as a strategic partner to offer a tunable picosecond pulsed laser. The covered patents include NKT Photonics’ methods for drawing and subsequently processing the fibers for use in systems, while the license given covers using NKT Photonics’ fibers for making supercontinuum light sources comprising a gain-switched laser diode. This development fuses for the first time the picosecond pulse-on demand technology with the broad wavelength range of a supercontinuum laser.
